Apple adds COVID-19 vaccine centre locations to Maps

Apple is making it easier for users to find COVID-19 testing centers and vaccine locations on Siri and its Maps application in the US.

On March 16, the tech giant added 20,000 vaccination centers on the maps application that users can easily check out from the search bar. There are website buttons added on the individual places that will navigate users that want to make an appointment.

The company is aiming to expand the data in 20,000 locations with time using the VaccineFinder information that is run by Boston’s Children’s Hospital. The software developers and the hospital’s epidemiologists run the services. Further to this, Apple has also included COVID-19 testing centers for users.
