Paytm online scam is one of the major scams that has been played out stating “Congratulations! You have won a cashback” that users can claim. It is essential for users to not take the notifications seriously as it is just another trick that is used by online frauds to steal user’s data including bank account number, card details, etc.
Many users have become the victim of Paytm cashback by clicking on the notifications that are not redirected to Paym official website but on the paytm-cashoffer.com. The fake website appears to be similar to the official Paytm website.
The fake offer states that the users have won Rs 2,647 and ask to send rewards. The users when clicked on the Send button will take them to the Paytm app page to pay the specified amount. The button of payment will be marked as cashback rewards that will ask to transfer Rs 2,647 to the fraud account.
The best thing is to steer clear of the big cashback or rewards.
