Decarbonized fuel car, race participation one after another
Vehicle using decarbonized fuel based on Nissan Motor’s “Fairlady Z” = June, Oyama Town, Shizuoka Prefecture
Major domestic automobiles are participating in races with decarbonized fuel vehicles that use fuel with virtually zero carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. The advantage is that the structure of the existing engine can be utilized, and we are looking for practical application in combination with electric vehicles and fuel cell vehicles that do not use an engine. I am busy collecting data in the race.
In early June, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. unveiled a decarbonized fuel vehicle that will participate in the 24-hour endurance race held at Fuji Speedway. Based on the new “Fairlady Z” sports car, used cooking oil and wood chips were used as fuel.
Toyota Motor Corporation and SUBARU have been running new vehicles that use synthetic fuel for endurance races from this year.
