More than a thousand satellites were launched by Musk’s Space Exploration Technologies Corps. For the Starlink internet services. The customers are already signing up for this in Canada, the US, and the UK. The Starlink aims to obtain a bit of $1 trillion markets that include maritime services, in-flight internet, rural customers, and demand in India or China.
Starlink was tested by mental health counsellor Rendel, who signed up in November after using the sluggish internet speed. He paid $500 for the types of equipment with an antenna and flat dish that offers the speed of 100 megabytes per second for downloads for $99 per month.
SpaceX was working on the setup for a month by launching the satellites in batches of 60 at a time using Falcon 9 rockets and on 20th Jan, the 17th Starlink was launched. The Starlink satellites are also on the low-Earth orbit to ensure that they are not creating any visual pollution for astronomers. But this bandwidth is more than enough for the company to offer services to the other countries and revenue stream.
Starlink is the first consumer-facing product of SpaceX that will maintain strong service that is entirely new to the company. The motive is to improve user experience with the right data speed, networking software, and uptime of the internet.
