Google Drive to apply new security updates

Google is planning to include new security updates for users to ensure more security, making file sharing easier. Google warned the users that the Drive links for some files might change after the upcoming update. It is possible that after this update, the links shared with others might not work.

Post the update, new links will be generated that the users can share with friends, family, or colleagues. “Access to these files won’t change for people who have already viewed them,” said Google.

The new updates will be implemented on September 13 and with the link provided by Google, users can see if there are any such files in your drive that have the changed link.

The new update will affect the users using the device or browser but they can check if the links on their drives have changed.

The giant recommended that users “should only be considered for files that are posted publicly”.
