Collaboration on 5G tech is the major step by these countries. The news is also considered as a major setback for China. The three countries have agreed to work together on the development of the secure 5G network. The technological collaboration is a result of a people-to-people collaboration which was initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in July 2017 in his Israel visit.
According to the US Agency for International Development (USAID) Deputy Administrator Bonnie Glick, the collaboration on 5G tech is just tip of the iceberg and a first step.
USAID Deputy administrator, Glick said, “Because we’ll collaborate in science and research and development in coming up with the next generations of technologies, things that the likes of you and the rest of us on the phone can’t even imagine what they might be. But by partnering by officially, affirming the importance of this relationship, we’ll advance it.”
Three nations have identified Silicon Valley, Bengaluru, and Tel Aviv as the leading technology hubs. The tech centres of the three nations will play a key role in delivering the promise of 5G in a way that is open, interoperable, reliable, and secure.
India and Israel have had a peer to peer relationship. Both countries have exemplified the importance of working together on issues related to water, management, and security.
The people-to-people relationship, business, science, and technology among the three centuries will not only strengthen the ties but also help in developmental activities.
