The official invitation from the company hints at its plan to unveil innovative devices that shape the next decade of mobile experiences. Samsung usually launches its flagship phones in February each year. Last year, the company launched Galaxy S10 on February 20th. Apart from the Galaxy S11, Samsung is rumoured to show off its second folding smartphone. The tech firm had to delay the launch of this foldable smartphone last year after several testers reported issues with the folding display.
In a teaser posted on the official Twitter account, Samsung has shown a rectangle, and a square, hinting at the clamshell foldable smartphone and potential introduction of the next Galaxy S series smartphone. The official name for the smaller version of the Galaxy Folder has not been announced yet. It is rumoured that Samsung may name its flagship model to S20.
Samsung launched the Galaxy Fold in February 2019, the smartphone priced at $1,980 went on sale in September. In a statement to media, Samsung had said, “We recently unveiled a completely new mobile category: a smartphone using multiple new technologies and materials to create a display that is flexible enough to fold. We are encouraged by the excitement around the Galaxy Fold.” However, the company had to discontinue the model due to severe defects.
The Galaxy S20 will feature a 6.7-inch display and will be priced much lower than the Galaxy Fold. The device will have a bunch of significant camera improvements and an improved battery life.
