The beta code of the camera apk uncovers that the camera app will feature 8K video camera and new modes. The camera now gets new modes like Director’s View, Night Hyperlapse, Vertical Panorama, Single Take Photo, and new custom filters. The biggest revelation is the 108-megapixel resolution camera and 20:9 aspect ratio display.
Samsung Exynos 990 SoC can support the 8K recording at 30fps. The smartphone will be available in three screen sizes and five different variants, all these will support curved-edge displays.
The Director’s view mode will use multiple camera and switch between them while shooting the video. The camera software will smartly lock the subject onto the main camera and close up the second subject for the telephoto lens.
Night Hyperlapse meshes the night mode with hyper lapse however you need to keep the phone still. Single take photo allows users to pan the smartphone around for 15 seconds while taking a series of pictures and short videos.
You can take the vertical panorama photos even in the existing Galaxy phones but the software cannot handle stitching of photos together. The new mode will finally fix that. Samsung is adding custom filters in the main camera app itself. Custom filters is basically a preset selection of colors and toned hues to make the image look more appealing.
Samsung is supposed to launch the smartphone in February 2020. The leaks suggest that Samsung will shrink the bezels of the device.
