Samsung India plans to reopen the Samsung Smart Cafes and Samsung Smart Plazas starting this week. The company has complied with the government regulations and zonal guidelines effective May 4. The staggered opening will start in orange and green districts as classified by the government.
The company has decided to take the utmost precaution while reopening the stores. All Smart Cafes and Smart Plazas will follow sanitisation guidelines and social distancing norms to safeguard the health and safety of customers, employees, partners, and vendors.
Samsung said that both Smart Cafes and Smart Plazas will be completely sanitised before reopening. Hand sanitisers will be made available at the stores, making it mandatory for Samsung experience consultants to use them at all touchpoints, especially at the entry and exit doors.
The company also said that Smart Cafes and Smart Plazas have been demarcated to ensure a minimum distance of 1.5 meters. All stores and employees will be asked to have staggered lunch timings. The “Experience Consultants” will be trained on guidelines to follow hygiene and safety advisories.
Samsung has asked the Smart Cafes and Smart Plazas cashiers to wear masks at all times. Customers will be encouraged to use digital transaction over cash. The company notes that only a limited number of customers will be allowed inside the store to avoid crowd formation. The experience consultants are instructed to greet customers with folded hands to avoid physical contacts.
