Unlike the notorious Fold, the Galaxy Z Flip will fold like a clamshell. The concept has also been adopted by Motorola in their recently revealed Motor Razer 2019 smartphone. A hands-on video shared by Ben Geskin reveals the rumoured Galaxy Z Flip when it is unfolded. The smartphone’s display has a punch hole at front sporting the front-facing camera.
There’s another secondary display at the top when the device is unfolded. This secondary display shows time, battery percentage, and date. The dual rear camera is visible along with this tiny display. The smartphone featured in the video comes in a purple colour back with a mirror finish.
The screen unfolds to a 6.7-inch display in 22:9 aspect ratio. Samsung is calling this as the Infinite Flex display. The smartphone can also be adjusted between 70 and 110 degrees and easily popped up on a table. The device will reportedly have Full HD+ resolution with HDR+ support.
The external tiny display sports 1.06-inch screen offering a resolution of 300×116 pixels. The tiny display will also feature an always-on Super AMOLED screen. The smartphone will feature Gorilla Glass 6 for protection at the back. The setup will include a 12-megapixel primary sensor along with another 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. The front-facing camera is a 10-megapixel sensor that features an f/2.0 aperture lens.
On the performance front, the device scores 725 in the single-core test and 2610 in multi-core tests. On the software front, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is powered by Android 10 OS. It will feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855+ octa-core processor coupled with 8GB RAM.
