The upcoming iPhone 12 to get a massive RAM upgrade

The next-generation iPhone is the most important launch of 2020. Apple is prepared to add a massive upgrade to iPhone 12. The next-gen iPhone is likely to feature as much as 6 GB RAM.

The iPhone maker is just months away from unveiling the next generation of its premium smartphones. The devices dubbed as iPhone 12 series will be launched in September 2020. There are various leaks and rumours around Apple’s iPhone 12. The premium Pro models of the iPhone will feature 6 GB.

The leak comes from UBS analysts Timothy Arcuri and Munjal Shah. The research note by MacRumors has also confirmed the news of 6 GB RAM in an iPhone. Apple is known for packing the best camera in an iPhone. These devices also sport a highly optimised operating system. Adding a higher amount of RAM could boost the performance and processes like photo accessing, video rendering, and even gaming on the iPhone.

The reports claim that 6.7-inch display iPhone will be termed as iPhone 12 Pro Max and 6.1-inch model will be called as iPhone 12 Pro. Both these devices will have 6 GB RAM. The higher RAM will be available only in the two models of the iPhone. Both the models will be launched this year.

Patents leaked earlier hint the design of upcoming iPhones. The devices will feature a rectangular display and square corners. Apple may remove Face ID tech from the device. The prototype design in the patent does not feature any front-facing camera, which means there could be a pop-up selfie camera hidden in the frame.
