Below are the features that the Facebook-owned WhatsApp has for its users this year.

With the help of a new multiple device support feature, WhatsApp users will be able to login to multiple devices simultaneously. This feature is currently in the development phase. At present, a user can use WhatsApp only on two devices (a phone and a desktop) at the same time. However, with the help of a new multi-device support feature, the app will reportedly allow users to add up to four devices on a single account.

This feature will give the user a chance to have a separate ringtone for WhatsApp Group calls. Therefore, app users will be able to differentiate between a single call and a group call.

WhatsApp users can expect this exciting new update of a voice and video calling feature on the desktop. The final version of the update is expected to be launched in 2021.

If you are an existing WhatsApp user, you must know that the app doesn’t have the option to mute videos while sending them or uploading them as a status update. Therefore, with the newly installed updates, the social messaging app is expected to allow users to mute the video. This new feature of the app is in the development phase.

This new exciting business-specific feature will allow users to buy insurance via WhatsApp in India. The Facebook-owned messaging app will have health insurance and micro-pension products and will have tie-ups with licensed financial services players. Initially, the app will sell SBI General sachet-health insurance cover and HDFC Pension schemes.

In the new exciting update, WhatsApp users will be able to join group calls that they have been invited to after the call has started. Currently, WhatsApp doesn’t allow users to rejoin the missed group calls at any time.
