YouTube Music will be pre-installed in upcoming Android devices

Online entertainment and music are the biggest markets for the internet companies. Google acknowledges the demand for online music streaming services. The search engine firm is offering pre-installed version of YouTube music on all new Android devices.

All new Android devices running on the new Android 10 and Android 9 Pie devices will come with pre-installed YouTube Music app, the service will replace Google’s Play Music app. Users can still switch to Google Play Music manually if they wish too. The company is rolling out its optimistic plans for YouTube Music with this service.

In an official note, Google said, “Music listeners on Android devices are now just a few taps away from streaming their go-to tracks and discovering new music. Music fans on Android phones can now easily unlock the magic of YouTube Music, which will come installed on all new devices launching with Android 10 (and Android 9), including the Pixel .”

Google launched the YouTube Music service in March. The music-only streaming app gathered user’s attention as it offered the extensive content from YouTube in an audio-only option. Google’s decision to offer YouTube Music as a default player on upcoming Android phones is no surprise.

YouTube music comes as a free tier option which has ads. For the ad-free version, you need to pay Rs 99 per month. YouTube Music Premium also offers offline downloads in India. Subscribers can play songs and videos in the background even when the app is not in use. Premium subscribers also offers offline download.
